Making Google to verify your Blogspot & submitting Sitemaps to GWebmaster Tools

My previous post was on verifying wordpress blog and adding sitemaps to it. In the similar way, this post describes how to verify blogspot and adding sitemaps for blogger site. The way it goes is completely different from wordpress blog.
You will identify this post saves your lot of time as i wasted couple of hours in searching the ways to do it.
Verifying Your Blogspot Blog:


Take the following steps:
1. Open google webmaster tools. and specify your web adress.

2.Click on verify. Google will give you 2 options. First one is "Add Meta tag code". Here, one meta tag will be given to you. It looks like:
meta name="verify-v1" content="HbOqDCGIANG04BBgi580QS7lzOiX6S7Bzl5GRT4h118=" . Copy this code.

3. Now open your http://yourname.blogspot.com and sign in > Customize> Layout> HTML code of blog.

4. Just below head tag paste the above link.

5. Now click on "Save template"

6.Go to "webmaster tools" from where u got meta tag, click on "verify" the site.
Submitting site maps:

1. Go to google webmaster tool site.

2. Login and then Go to dashboard. You must be done with 'verify site' by now. Otherwise, u can't proceed.

3.U many have many accounts, opposite to ur desired web address/account press "Add" button under "sitemap".

4. Give the either of the following feeds as input at "Submit sitemap field" as shown following:

http://havetimeblogger.blogspot.com/atom.xml?max-results=500&start-index=1
http://havetimeblogger.blogspot.com/atom.xml?max-results=500&start-index=501
http://havetimeblogger.blogspot.com/atom.xml?max-results=500&start-index=1001
http://havetimeblogger.blogspot.com/atom.xml?max-results=500&start-index=1501
Then click "Submit Sitmap". If you want to get one more sitemap for the same site u give the same above link but by inreaseing the start -index to 2001. U can add on sitemaps just like that at an increament of 500.
Then google will display the following messege:
You have added http://havetimeblogger.blogspot.com/atom.xml?max-results=500&start-index=1. Reports may take several hours to update. Thank you for your patience!
After few hours at max one hour, your site will site will be approved and ur site will be considered by Search engines like Google, Yahoo and etc.

Making Google to verify your Wordpress Blog & submitting Sitemaps to GWebmaster Tools

After 3 hours of extensive search, I found the solution for this prob. I have found the solution no where in web except at Redchaos. I am very happy for that. Still, one hesitation is there in the solution which i want incorporate to make it complete solution.

Verifying Your Wordpress Blog:

Take the following steps:

1. Open google webmaster tools. and specify your web adress.

2.Click on verify. Google will give you 2 options. First one is "Add HTML code". Here, one html code will be given to you.  It looks like: " google7u445y3dfghat56e1075p.html" . Copy this code.

3. Now open your wordpress blog.

4. Create new page (not post).

5.Directly paste the html code, that was given to you, in title field of page

(Here wordpress will not take .html extension. Still, paste it.)

6.Now publish the page. (Content of the page doesn't matter)

By this point, ur problem is  solved. But should we keep this page on blog even it doesn't consist of any info.I donno exactly what to do for this. But i can give you tip to keep that page as private.

Submitting site maps:

1. Go to google webmaster tool site.

4. Give this input there in the field http://yourname.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml DONE!!!

Google will take few hours to process the request.
